Public Radio International announces Fair Game from PRI with Faith Salie
"Public Radio International (PRI) announces the creation of Fair Game from PRI with Faith Salie, a high energy, interactive news and entertainment program produced by PRI and based in New York. Slated to premiere nationally this fall, Fair Game is hosted by the irreverent Faith Salie, Harvard alumna, Rhodes Scholar and star of Significant Others, Bravo's critically acclaimed improvisational sitcom. With Fair Game, PRI again moves the industry in a new direction, designing the hour-long weekday evening program as a hybrid of the satirical news and late-night variety show for a young, culturally connected, politically savvy demographic."

Bravo announces new series Significant Others
"[Series creator Rob Roy] Thomas, Casting Director Francene Selkirk-Ackerman, and Associate Producer Allison Kingsley saw roughly 500 actors and comedians to cast couples with the right combination of inventiveness, training and chemistry needed to pull off the on-the-spot performances required of the series. Each episode starts with a storyline that takes its shape from the creative give-and-take between the actors, Thomas (who serves as both therapist and director) and Co-Producer Jordana Arkin and [Producer Peter] Tortorici."

Faith shared her Coke Cake recipe with the Clarion Ledger
Q: You must miss the food from your native Atlanta. Is it possible to find good Southern fare in California?
A: You know, I haven't gone in search of it, because being an actress, there's not often you can tuck into fried chicken and biscuits with gravy. So, when I go home to my aunt Ceil's house, there's nothing better than getting it on your native turf. She's the one who does the best cheese grits in the world.
Q: Do you ever talk about food in your stand-up comedy routine?
A: Not really, but I used to have a joke where I would get on the stage and I would say, "Don't forget that the stage adds 10 pounds!" The whole trope about actresses wanting to be skinny is so true out here, so it's something we all fight for.

Faith interviewed in Emily's Reality Bytes
"Instead of news correspondents like Mike Wallace, VH-1's reality magazine series Spin Cycle, will be sending comedians out into the field, reports actress Faith Salie who is co-executive producing the show for 2005. (She's familiar to viewers of Bravo's improvised drama series about dysfunctional couples, Significant Others.) 'They'll be interviewing real people and asking real investigative questions. There's an interesting balance of charm and irreverence in what they do,' she quips. But don't expect geo-political types to be subjects on the show. 'We're planning on doing a piece on NASCAR. We're going to investigate Kabbalah--yeah, it's very trendy, but it's also an ancient strain of Judaism.'
"Salie says she and her cohorts on both shows 'kind of feel like pioneers' in the realm of New TV--which she feels encompasses reality TV, improvisational shows, hybrids, anything that breaks down the old barriers of television. As she notes, 'A lot of people like to degrade reality TV saying it's lowbrow and it's going to be the death of television, but I think it's made people push the edge of the envelope creatively.'
