Approval Junkie
Through her witty, candid, and sometimes heartbreaking recollections, Faith reflects on a lifetime of looking for validation in all the wrong places—and reveals how she finally won gold stars from her toughest critic … herself! Written in collaboration with, and directed by, Amanda Watkins, the heartfelt (and disturbingly hilarious) solo show is adapted from Faith’s book of the same name. Approval Junkie made its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019 (Susan V. Booth, Jennings Hertz Artistic Director; Mike Schleifer, Managing Director) and had its New York premiere Off-Broadway at the Minetta Lane Theatre as part of Audible Theater’s fall 2021 season.
As a stage actor, Faith starred as Sally Bowles in Cabaret (American Repertory Theatre), Squeaky Fromme in Assassins (Burton Taylor Playhouse, Oxford), and Svetlana in Chess (Edinburgh Fringe), and was part of the Ovation award-winning cast of the LA premiere of The Laramie Project.
